The British LGBT Awards 2025 lit up The Brewery in London on June 20th, bringing together celebrities, campaigners, and allies for a night of celebration, visibility, and pride. • 🏆 Alex Scott was named LGBTQ+ Public Figure of the Year. Although she couldn’t attend in person, her partner Jess Glynne accepted the award on her behalf, calling it “something really special.”

• 🌈 Jade Thirlwall, former Little Mix star, was crowned Celebrity Ally of the Year for her long-standing support of LGBTQ+ rights and her vocal defence of the trans community. In a video message, she affirmed: “I’ll always be a voice protecting trans rights.”

• 📱 Max Balegde, known for his witty and candid presence on TikTok, won Online Influencer of the Year, highlighting the growing power of digital platforms in LGBTQ+ advocacy.

• 💬 Ali Bromley, known for her vocal stance on inclusion, was honoured as LGBTQ+ Celebrity of the Year.

• 📺 The heartfelt bond between Richard Coles and Gok Wan (“GK Barry”) on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! won Media Moment of the Year.

• 👨‍👦‍👦 Ian “H” Watkins of pop group Steps received a Special Recognition Award for championing queer parenting after becoming a father to twins via surrogacy.

• 🏳️‍⚧️ India Willoughby, the UK’s first transgender national newsreader, received the Pride.Purpose.Progress Award for her ongoing work advocating for trans rights and visibility.

• 🎭 Billy Porter, the Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award-winning performer, was presented with a Special Recognition Award, and closed the evening with a powerful speech on global queer resilience.
